SharkBetX Classic — Terms and Conditions / Market Rules

Part 1 — Market Rules

SharkBetX Classic's "Market Rules" govern the administration and treatment of all trading activity in SharkBetX Classic markets, and should be read in conjunction with the SharkBetX Wallet Terms you accepted when you opened your account and the "Specific Sports Rules" in Part 2.

SharkBetX Classic gives you access to a betting exchange operated by our exchange partner. Offers you submit in Classic are routed to that exchange and matched there against other participants; SharkBetX does not take the other side of your Classic bets. All Classic balances, stakes and returns are in USDC. Custody of funds, eligibility, liability, governing law and disputes are covered by the SharkBetX Wallet Terms, which prevail where they differ from these rules.

These rules may be updated from time to time; please read these rules periodically to check if any changes have been made.

1. Preparing to Trade on the Exchange

  • Classic bets are placed from the SharkBetX account balance. Clients may trade using only the funds shown as "Available to bet". No credit arrangements or advances are available.
  • Clients are expected to familiarise themselves with the SharkBetX Wallet Terms, these "Market Rules" and the "Specific Sports Rules" prior to entering any trades. Remember: Read the rules for a market before you trade it.

2. Offer Submission and Management and Error Handling

  • Clients are responsible for managing all their open offers. SharkBetX Classic does not undertake to manage clients' open positions.
  • Clients may cancel open offers at any time. Clients are reminded that not all of their original offer may remain available for cancellation; some or all may have already been taken by another client. When submitting an offer in a live betting market, this offer may be subject to a time delay, before entering the market - clients cannot cancel offers during the period of a time delay on a live market until the time delay has expired and the offer has entered the market.
  • Open offers may be automatically cancelled at the start of an event or when a market turns in-play. Should a market remain open for trading past the start of the event due to, for example, an erroneously listed starting time, all trades made after the event's actual starting time will be voided. Similarly, if a live event remains open after its end time all trades made after the published end time will be voided.
  • Clients are reminded that starting times posted on the site are estimates, as provided to us through publicly available sources. Events often start several minutes later than the official time; and where possible (due to TV coverage, for example), we will attempt to keep markets open until the event's actual starting time.
  • SharkBetX Classic reserves the right to void any trades where fraudulent, market-manipulative or other prohibited activity is involved.
  • SharkBetX Classic reserves the right to void trades in the unlikely event of a system failure on SharkBetX Classic's side that prevents clients from managing their open offers.
  • SharkBetX Classic further reserves the right to suspend trading on any market and to cancel any existing offers, if necessary.
  • While we aim for accuracy of market information, SharkBetX Classic does not accept any liability for errors displayed on sharkbetx.com. SharkBetX Classic also reserves the right to correct any such errors without notice if they arise.
  • SharkBetX Classic is not responsible for any errors made by Customers when posting offers. Each Customer is responsible for their own awareness of the SharkBetX Classic terms, conditions and rules that apply to the markets they trade upon.
  • Minor errors in spelling excluded, SharkBetX Classic reserves the right to void all bets on a market where an incorrect selection is listed, the quantity of selections/outcomes is incorrect or an obvious error in the market or event is evident.
  • In the rare case that a market is loaded on the exchange using a point spread or handicap value with a reversed sign or missing digit, SharkBetX Classic reserves the right to void the market and refund all trades. For example, if the prevailing market for Chicago vs. Washington is Chicago +9.0 and the SharkBetX Classic market is accidentally loaded at Chicago -9.0, SharkBetX Classic would void trades placed on this market. The purpose would be to protect players who wagered on the market assuming that the point spread was Chicago +9.0.
  • To further protect clients against "trap offers," malicious users, technical faults, and so forth, SharkBetX Classic reserves the right under extraordinary circumstances to break trades that are the result of an obvious and extreme input error. An example would be if a client is matched on a heavy underdog at 1.04 instead of 26.0. Note that this rule protects against technical errors, not pricing errors, so while a matched bet at odds of 1.66 vs. a prevailing market value of 1.87 may be regrettable, it could not be classed as an obvious and extreme input error.
  • SharkBetX Classic reserves the right to correct any obvious errors and shall take all reasonable steps to ensure markets are administered with integrity and transparency. SharkBetX Classic reserves the right to cancel 'bad trades' in order to protect users against gross input errors if SharkBetX Classic deems the error to be sufficiently damaging. All 'bad trade' claims need to be made by the customer in a timely fashion, through the support channels listed on the SharkBetX platform, in order to be considered. SharkBetX Classic’s ruling on ‘bad trade’ claims is final.
  • For consistency, SharkBetX Classic, using all available resources, will determine the fair market value (probability) at the time the bet was matched. Comparing against this value, if the probability of the incorrect offer, is considered to be outside the fair market probability, then SharkBetX Classic reserves the right to void the trade in question.

3. Order Matching and Fills

  • All client offers are routed to the exchange on a time-priority basis and are matched using the following priority:
    • Odds ("odds submitted or better")
    • Time submitted ("first in, first matched").
    • During live markets, your offer will not be submitted until the time delay has expired. Please see rules under the heading Live Betting Market Administration.
  • The exchange will always fill your order at the best available odds, if better odds than you requested are available.
  • If an offer is only partially matched, the unmatched portion will be immediately displayed and the client given the chance to cancel it immediately. If not cancelled, the unmatched portion will appear in the "Unmatched" panel where it can be further managed by the client.
  • Stakes and liabilities are handled in USDC to two decimal places. The order review shows the exact stake, liability and odds that will be submitted before you confirm.
  • All trades on the exchange take place between anonymous parties; clients are not to attempt to disclose or signal their identities to one another.

4. Live Betting Market Administration

  • In the event of technical difficulties, including issues with or changes to the data feeds used to manage an event, SharkBetX Classic reserves the right to suspend a live market until such time as these issues can be resolved, or to decide against offering live betting on the market. In these circumstances, SharkBetX Classic accepts no liability for a customer's inability to trade positions.
  • SharkBetX Classic will make reasonable best effort to, but cannot guarantee, that live betting markets go “live” at the actual or published start time of the sporting event and are suspended at the conclusion.
  • If, for whatever reason, a market does not go “live” at the actual or published start time, and never goes “live”, SharkBetX Classic reserves the right to cancel all bets matched during the event.
  • If, for whatever reason, a market does not go “live” at the actual or published start time, and subsequently goes “live” during the event, SharkBetX Classic reserves the right to cancel all bets matched between the start of the event and the time it went “live”. In this case, SharkBetX Classic will use it’s discretion to determine whether a material change in odds has occurred before determining whether to cancel bets or not.
  • SharkBetX Classic Customers should be aware that sporting event broadcasts advertised as “live” may be subject to a time delay. Time delays on sporting event broadcasts differ between individual broadcasters.
  • All offers placed at odds that would match an open offer in a live betting market will be subject to a time delay. The extent of this delay will vary based on sport, market and broadcast coverage of the event.
  • All offers placed at odds that would not match an offer in a live betting market will not be subject to a time delay.
  • Live betting markets may be subject to sport and/or market specific rules defined under the heading of the relevant sport.
  • SharkBetX and its exchange partner monitor live betting activity. In the event of any suspicion around live betting activities, where we suspect that a client may have access to pictures or data feeds that allow them an unfair advantage over other Clients of the exchange, SharkBetX Classic reserves the right to suspend and review that client's access to SharkBetX Classic and, ultimately, if necessary, terminate it.

5. Dead Heat Settlements

In certain markets where no tie-breaking rules exist (e.g., golf three-balls), Dead Heat settlements may be employed. A Dead Heat settlement is calculated as follows, where "gross return" is equal to the stake plus profit:

  • For "back" and "lay" bets (decimal odds):
    [(Stake / No of tied runners) x (Odds - 1)] - [Stake x (No of tied runners - 1) / No of tied runners] = your profit/loss
Note: For "lay" bets, the 'Stake' in formula is the 'Backers Stake'.
  • For place markets:
[(Stake x No of payouts / No of tied runners) x (Odds - 1)] - [Stake x (No of tied runners - No of payouts) / No of tied runners] = your profit/loss

6. Event Scheduling, Grading and Settlement

  • Events are settled based on reported results as provided by our designated information providers.
  • Markets on events postponed for more than 24 hours(see Sports Rules for relevant timelines) or reassigned to another venue, will be cancelled and all client funds returned.
  • Official results for events overturned due to subsequent protest, appeal or other judgement stand as originally reported.
  • Unless otherwise stated, all markets for an event are generally graded together at the time the event is completed, rather than at the time a result is available. (Example: midway through the 4th quarter, a basketball game goes over the total, but the side and moneyline markets remain uncertain. All markets await the final game result before grading.)
  • All bets on abandoned or postponed events will be void if the event has not been concluded within 72 hours of the scheduled start date. Unconditionally determined markets are excluded.
  • Where a tournament or competition is not concluded within seven days of its original published completion date, markets will be settled on the results provided by the sport/tournament/competition official governing body. These results must be published within 30 days of the originally scheduled completion date.
  • Where a sporting event has a specific number of days stipulated for its completion, the cut-off time is 23:59:59 in the local time zone for that sporting event.
  • Ante-post bets are accepted on the basis that they will stand regardless of whether the selection takes part in the event.
Once matched, stakes placed on an ante-post bet are lost if the selection does not participate.
This means that if your selection does not take part in the event, your bet will still stand and be settled as a loser. This applies even if the selection was not officially entered, provided there was a realistic possibility it could have been entered at a later stage. Bets placed before the closure of entries will remain valid under ante-post rules.
  • At our discretion, SharkBetX Classic may choose to settle or partially settle a selection or market in advance of the official outcome. In this situation, SharkBetX Classic reserves the right to later reverse this advance settlement to apply the official result and/or void bets if necessary.
  • All bets stand in venue change situations unless the originally listed away team is now at their home ground.
  • Bets will be void where the venue's playing surface differs from what was originally published for that sporting event.
  • All bets on an event will be void where the events published duration changes before the events starts.
  • Where a rule or wager is not covered by the rules herein, the rules of the exchange on which the bet was matched apply, and SharkBetX's determination is final.

7. Commission, Funding and Returning Funds

  • Commission is charged on winnings at the rate shown in the order review before you confirm a bet; the terms you accept there apply to that bet. No commission is charged on losing bets.
  • SharkBetX Classic bets are placed from your SharkBetX account balance; there is no separate Classic balance. Deposits to and withdrawals from SharkBetX are on-chain USDC transactions governed by the SharkBetX Wallet Terms; you pay the network fees for your own transactions.
  • Funds reserved for open Classic offers and matched bets are shown as "Reserved for Classic bets" and are not available to bet or withdraw until they are released at cancellation or settlement.

8. Live Data and Third-Party Feeds

  • Broadcasts described as "live" by third-party providers may be delayed. The extent of any delay may vary depending on the set-up through which they are receiving pictures or data. SharkBetX Classic does not accept any liability in respect of any third-party feeds.

Part 2 — Specific Sports Rules

The rules for a sport or market type apply only where SharkBetX Classic offers that sport or market. Monetary examples are illustrative; all SharkBetX Classic bets are placed and settled in USDC.

American Football – NFL AND NCAA

  • All markets will be settled on the result, including overtime, unless stated otherwise or where the market has been unconditionally determined. In the event of a game ending as a draw after overtime, all wagers on the moneyline market will be considered void, and the stake will be returned. Wagers on Handicap, Total, and any extra markets will be settled as normal.
  • If a match is played on a different date or at a different venue than originally scheduled, all wagers will be cancelled and refunded.
  • If a match starts but is later abandoned or postponed, then within three days of the scheduled start date:(a) at least 55 minutes of play must have elapsed; or (b) an official result must be 'called' by the relevant governing body; otherwise all bets will be void, except for those on markets which have been unconditionally determined. In those circumstances, if the scores are tied, then all bets on the outright match winner market will be void.
  • 1st Half Moneyline - this market is settled based on the first half score. If the first half ends in a draw, then wagers will be void. If the match is abandoned before the completion of the first half, then wagers will also be void.
  • Proposition and game-statistics wagers will be settled on official statistics provided by the NFL.
  • Half Time/Full Time - this market is settled based on the result at the end of Regulation Time. Overtime is not included. If the match is abandoned before the end of Regulation time, all wagers on this market will be void.
  • For “Player” markets (eg, Player Throwing Yards, Player Receiving Yards, Player Rushing Yards), the selected player(s) must play for action. Any bets made on players who do not play will be refunded.
  • 1st Touchdown Scorer: Bets stand as long as your selected player is active (in uniform and ready to play) as per nfl.com. Bets are void on players who are not listed as active by the relevant American Football governing body. Overtime is counted for this market.

If a match starts but is abandoned or postponed in the second half and not completed within three days of the scheduled start date, then the match shall be settled on the official result of the relevant governing body. In both instances, bets on the match odds market will be settled as set out above, and all other bets will be void except for those on markets which have been unconditionally determined.
  • Payouts are based on the officially declared result, but conditions may apply to specific betting options (e.g. end of normal time, including extra time - an extension of normal time, etc.).

Baseball

  • If a match is played on a different date or at a different venue than originally scheduled, all bets will be void.
  • If a game is abandoned or suspended and rescheduled to a later date Moneyline markets are settled based on the score at the end of the last full inning provided five innings have been played (or 4.5 innings if the home team is ahead) unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half of the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time the game is called. Moneyline markets will otherwise be voided.
  • Moneyline markets will be settled on the final result, including extra innings.
  • Bets will not be impacted by a change to the starting pitcher of either team.
  • Top Half of the Inning is defined as the first half of the inning, while the visiting team is at bat.
Bottom Half of the Inning is defined as the second half of the inning, while the home team is at bat.
  • For Run Line (Handicap) and Totals wagering, games must go at least nine innings (or 8.5 innings if the home team is ahead)or if the official length of the match is 7 innings, then all bets will be void unless there have been 7 innings (6 ½ if the home team is ahead), except (in both circumstances) those bets on markets which have been unconditionally determined.
If the game goes to extra innings, these markets are settled based on the score at the end of the last full inning, should play be halted in the top half of the inning with the home team trailing.
For games suspended and rescheduled to a later date, Total and Run Line markets are voided unless the game has gone nine innings (or 8.5 if the home team is ahead).
  • MLB Playoff games will have action whenever the game is completed.
  • For Japanese NPB Baseball and Korean KBO Baseball, if a game is called, suspended, or declared a tie in extra innings, the score will be determined after the last full inning.
  • Doubleheader games are denoted as {G1} or {G2} in the event name.
  • "Regular Season Wins" rules are as follows:
    • 160 regular-season games must be played for the market to stand.
    • Postseason wins not included.
    • Team moves or name changes do not affect bets.
    • Regular-season tiebreaker games count as part of the regular season.

If a full five innings are not completed in the game, all bets will be void.

Basketball

  • If a match is played on a different date or at a different venue than originally scheduled, all wagers will be void.
  • If a match starts but is later abandoned or postponed then, within three days of the scheduled start date, (a) at least 43 minutes of play must have elapsed in any NBA match or 35 minutes of play must have elapsed in any other match; or (b) an official result must be 'called' by the relevant governing body; otherwise all bets will be void, except for those on markets which have been unconditionally determined
  • For matchup and player prop markets, players must play for wagers to have action, irrespective of game time played. All totals are inclusive of Overtime. Should a player take no part in the game, all bets will be void.
  • All unmatched wagers will be cancelled at tip-off (or the game's scheduled starting time, if the game is untelevised). If the market is subsequently turned "in running", at kick-off, all unmatched bets will be cancelled and the market will be set in-play.

  • If a Draw option is offered and the fight ends in a draw, wagers on both fighters "to win" will be settled as losers, and wagers "to lose" as winners. If a Moneyline is offered and the fight ends in a draw, all wagers on both fighters will be refunded.
  • If the scheduled length of a fight is changed, all markets involving numbers of rounds (e.g., fight duration) will be cancelled and refunded.
  • If a fight is rescheduled for a different date, all wagers stand so long as the fight takes place within 72 hours of the original date.
  • Disqualifications and technical knockouts (TKOs) are settled as knockouts (KOs).
  • Any fight declared "no contest" will have all wagers refunded.
  • A total listed on a fight represents the total number of completed rounds. If a fighter retires before the start of a round, fails to answer the bell at the beginning of any round, or is disqualified between rounds, the fight will be deemed to have finished at the end of the previous round.
  • If a fight is stopped & a technical decision is awarded before the full number of rounds is completed, or a boxer is disqualified, the fight will be deemed to have finished in the round in which the fight was stopped.
  • In boxing, a half round is defined as 90 seconds of a three-minute round.
  • In MMA, a half round is defined as 150 seconds of a five-minute round.
For Example, In UFC - If a wager is placed on the Total Rounds 2.5 market and the fight is stopped at any time after 2 minutes 30 seconds of the 3rd round, this market will be settled as Over 2.5 = Win.
  • Any fight involving an extra round or "sudden victory" round, this round will be included for wagering purposes
  • In Boxing, a knockdown is defined as a fighter being KO'd or receiving a mandatory eight count (anything deemed a slip by the referee will not count).
  • Boxing and MMA markets will be settled based on the official result at the time. Subsequent appeals or rulings will not be considered.

  • If a match is shortened due to weather, markets, including those decided by the Duckworth-Lewis method, will be settled based on the official result.
  • If a match starts but is later abandoned for any reason other than weather (examples of which may include: dangerous or unplayable wicket or outfield; strike or boycott; crowd protests/violence; pitch vandalism; stadium damage; acts of terrorism; and acts of God), SharkBetX Classic reserves the right to void all bets, except for those on markets that have been unconditionally determined (e.g. Coin Toss market).
  • If the match is not scheduled to be completed within five days after the original scheduled completion date, then all bets on markets for this event will be void, except for bets on any markets that have been unconditionally determined.
  • All bets on match betting markets will be void if the result is a tied match in any Test, County, or Limited Overs match. If a match finishes in a tie, that result will count for settlement purposes, regardless of any “Bowl Outs”, “Super Overs”, “Coin Toss”, or other format that may be played to determine the match.
  • If a Super Over Market is offered in a game, then this market will result based on the number of runs scored by each team in the Super Over.
  • If "No Result" is declared for a match, then all bets will be void except for those on markets unconditionally determined.
  • If a match is decided by a bowl-off or coin toss, all bets will be void except for those on markets that are unconditionally determined.
  • In the event of a change of venue, bets will be voided if the new venue is the Home ground of the original Away team.
  • For the following markets: 1st innings runs, 1st innings total runs, first 25 overs runs, total wickets fallen, and batting teams runs scored:
Bets will be void, regardless of whether the outcome of the bet is already determined, if:
    • The scheduled number of overs for the innings is reduced by rain interruption, and at settlement time, the actual number of overs bowled is less than the number of overs stipulated at the head of these rules.
    • If the scheduled number of overs for the innings is reduced for any other reason after the innings has begun and, at settlement time, that new number of scheduled overs is less than the number of overs stipulated at the head of these rules. Please note if the batting side reaches their target within the 20 overs or has been bowled out and the innings hasn't been reduced in overs to less than the stipulated number at the head of the rules, the market will be settled.
    • For clarification, this market will be settled on the final score achieved by the batting side, including any extras or penalty runs awarded during the innings.

Cycling

  • Where a presentation ceremony takes place, markets will be settled on the official result of the relevant governing body at the time of the ceremony, regardless of any subsequent disqualification or amendment to the result.
  • If there is no presentation ceremony, outcomes will be determined by the official result of the relevant governing body, regardless of any subsequent disqualification or amendment to the result (except if an amendment is announced within 24 hours of the initial settlement of the relevant market to correct an error in reporting the result).
  • It is the user's responsibility to manage their position.
  • All bets placed in Outright markets will stand regardless of whether the rider takes part or not.

Darts

  • Where a match starts but is not completed, the player who progresses to the next round is deemed the winner.
  • Where a match starts but is not completed, all bets on handicap markets are void unless the market has been unconditionally determined.
  • Where a match starts but is not completed, all bets on correct score, game, or set markets are void unless the market has been unconditionally determined.

  • PDC World Championship Outrights: Only the listed participants are available.

GAA

  • Unless otherwise specified, wagers are for 70 minutes of play (60 minutes for Club competitions), including stoppage/injury time.
  • If a match is suspended before full time is reached and is not resumed on the same day, all wagers will be cancelled and refunded.

Golf

  • If a tournament is abandoned and no result is officially declared, all wagers will be cancelled and refunded, except those that have been unconditionally determined (e.g., "Make the Cut" props in a tournament shortened to 54 holes).
  • If a tournament is shortened and play for the day is abandoned, causing the winner to be declared based on the previous round's play, all wagers matched after the end of the previous round will be cancelled and refunded.
  • For Outright betting, if a player withdraws or is disqualified, they will be settled as a loser, provided they have tee'd off to start the event.
  • For match bets, the player having the lowest score over the designated interval is the winner. If the match bet is over 72 holes and one player misses the cut, the player advancing after the cut is confirmed is deemed the winner. If both players miss the cut, the player with the lower score over the pre-cut interval is the winner. If the tournament goes to a playoff, and both players are involved in the playoff, the player advancing further (for sudden-death playoffs) or completing the playoff with the lower overall score (for fixed-length playoffs) will be deemed the winner.
  • For Tournament matchups, if a player withdraws or is disqualified, they will be deemed the loser of the matchup. Both players must tee off at the start of the tournament for action.
  • For Tournament matchups, if a tournament is shortened to 54 holes, all wagers stand provided the tournament is deemed as being completed (i.e a winner gets declared)
  • For Tournament and Round matchups, if both players finish on the same score, the market will be settled as a push (moneyline only).
  • For "Top Finish" markets eg. Top European, if all players fail to make the cut, the player with the lower score over the pre-cut interval is the winner. If all players finish on the same score, the market will be settled as a dead heat.
  • For Round matchups, if a player withdraws or is disqualified during the round, they will be deemed the loser of the matchup. Both players must tee off at the start of the round for action.
  • For Tournament and Round matchups, if both players withdraw or are disqualified, the winner is the player with the lowest score in the previous round. If the DQ/WDs occur in the first round, or if the match bet is for a single round, all wagers will be cancelled and refunded.
  • For match bets with a half-stroke handicap, the favourite is signified by having a "-" handicap; however, this half-stroke is NOT subtracted from the score for handicap purposes, it is ADDED. (In other words, if the two players tie, the underdog is the winner.)
  • For match bets, both players must tee off for action.
  • For Golf place markets such as Top 5/10/20 Finish markets, dead heat rules apply in the event of ties.
  • For Tournament Winning Score markets, all 4 rounds must be completed or bets will be void.
  • For propositions on a player's score in an individual round, all wagers will be cancelled and refunded if the player does not complete the round.
  • For propositions on a player's score on an individual hole, wagers will be settled shortly after the player leaves the hole (based on PGA scoring data). If the player does not complete a hole, all wagers will be cancelled and refunded.
  • For Matchplay tournaments, if a match is tied after 18 holes and playoff hole(s) are played, then the market will be settled based on the result after the playoff hole(s). If the tournament allows for halved matches, then the market will be settled as a "half" eg, WGC Match Play group stages. Where no draw option is available the market will be settled as a push.
  • The Ryder Cup, The Presidents Cup, and Hero Cup Winner market will be settled based on the official score result of the match, and not based on who retains the trophy.
  • If a market refers to a player to “Make The Cut” in a golf tournament, bets on this will be settled on the official result posted on the tournament or tour websites.
  • The cut line (i.e. the score required for a player to qualify for the later stages of a tournament) will be determined by the tournament organiser.
  • The market will settle as a win if a player ‘makes the cut’ (meaning the player’s score ranks on or above the cut line). The market will settle as a loss if a player ‘misses the cut’ (meaning the player’s score ranks below the cut line).
  • Any fairway or green-related markets must finish on the stipulated hole.
  • For a "To Hit The Fairway" market to be deemed a winner, the first stroke by the player must come to a complete stop on the stipulated fairway(with fairway defined as the closely mowed area between the tee box and the green). If a ball lands on the fairway but bounces off the area defined as such(into the rough, parallel fairway, or fairway bunker), this will be deemed a loser for the purpose of the bet. If a player has to hit a provisional ball(defined as a ball played in case the first ball may be out of bounds or lost outside a penalty area), this will not count for market settlement.
  • For a "To Hit The Green" market, the ball must finish on the green from the first stroke off the tee(with green defined as the area specially prepared for playing the ball along the ground, and there is a flagstick for the hole on each green). If a player has to hit a provisional ball(defined as a ball played in case the first ball may be out of bounds or lost outside a penalty area), this will not count for market settlement.

Ice Hockey

  • If a match starts but is later abandoned or postponed then, within three days of the scheduled start date, (a) at least 55 minutes of play must have elapsed in any match; or (b) an official result must be 'called' by the relevant governing body; otherwise all bets will be void, except for those which have been unconditionally determined. In these instances, if the scores are tied, then for " Moneyline " matches (where no tie is offered), dead heat rules will apply to bets on the outright match winner market.
  • If a match does not start on the scheduled start date or venue and is not completed within 72 hours of the scheduled start date, all bets will be void except for those on markets which have been unconditionally determined
  • NHL: Unless a market specifically states “Excluding OT”, overtime counts for scoring/grading purposes.
  • KHL ,Winter Olympics : Moneyline Markets will include Overtime for these leagues. All other markets in these leagues will be based on regulation time.
  • Ice Hockey World Championships, World Cup of Hockey: For all markets defined as "Excluding Overtime" grading is based on the score at the end of regular time. Overtime and penalty shootouts will not count for scoring/grading purposes.
Moneyline Markets will be graded based on the result, including overtime and any penalty shootouts that may be played.
  • NHL 4 Nations Face-Off - Unless a market specifically states “Excluding OT”, overtime counts for scoring/grading purposes.
  • Penalty Shootouts are considered part of overtime, but the number of goals scored by each team in the penalty shootout does not count towards the settlement of handicap or total markets. Penalty shootout winners are awarded a single goal towards the final game score. For example, after overtime, the Hurricanes and Canucks game score is 2-2, and the game goes to a penalty shootout. Hurricanes win the shootout. The final score is settled as 3-2.

One exception to this rule is for the knockout phases of the Rugby World Cup, whereby postponed fixtures will be rescheduled within two days following the scheduled day, or such longer period as determined by the RWCL. For these instances, bets from the originally scheduled fixture will stand.
  • Tournament Top Tryscorer - Only tries scored in the specified tournament will be considered for a player's total tries count. All bets remain valid regardless of whether or not a player participates in the tournament. If multiple players finish with the same number of tries, Dead-Heat Rules will apply.

  • For tournaments featuring single-elimination and similar formats, SharkBetX Classic may post "to advance" markets that settle on a match's final result, regardless of extra time. These markets will be clearly specified - check the event's "short form" rules for clarification on how match duration affects market settlement.
  • If a match is postponed or rescheduled and is confirmed to take place within the current or following three days of the original local event kick-off date, all bets on the match will stand, unless confirmation of the rescheduled start time is not received within 3 hours of the original kick-off.

  • For Handicap wagering, the "-" sign indicates the favourite (just as with major North American sports).
  • In some cases, a team is given two handicap values. If they manage to overcome both of these, then you get a maximum return on your stake. When a handicap is made up of two parts, such as -0.0/0.5 or +1.0/1.5, it means that the bet is split evenly between the two handicaps. So if you back Team A +1.0/1.5 with 100 USDC, you are effectively betting 50 USDC on Team A +1.0 and 50 USDC on Team A +1.5. The market is similar to all markets in that you put up offers and take odds in the same way. However, because of the more complex rules surrounding Asian Handicap betting, it is not possible to display the profit and loss on this market. As on all markets, when you place a bet, money will be reserved from your account to cover your maximum possible liability on the market.
  • Bets on half-time markets e.g, Half-Time Result, are settled on the result of a match at half-time, including injury and stoppage time. Bets will stand regardless of subsequent abandonment or postponement of games after Half-Time.
  • First Goalscorer markets are for 90 minutes only, inclusive of any stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shootouts are not included. Bets will be voided on any player who takes no part in the match or who comes on as a substitute after the first goal has been scored. Own goals do not count for settlement purposes and are ignored. Players may need to be added to these markets after the market is opened. Markets will be settled based on the goalscorer as outlined on premierleague.com. Subsequent appeals or rulings will not be considered.
  • At the start of a Live Betting match, all open offers will be cancelled and the markets will be made available for live betting. On the occurrence of a “material event” the market will be suspended, all open offers will be cancelled, and the market reopened for live betting. SharkBetX Classic defines a material event as a goal being scored, a penalty being awarded or a player being sent off.
  • Where a material event occurs and a market is not suspended and/or open offers are not cancelled SharkBetX Classic reserves the right to suspend the market and void bets matched after the occurrence of the material event in question. Should this be necessary, SharkBetX Classic will make the best effort to void the erroneously matched bets during the sporting event. The voiding of said bets may be delayed by our attempts to accurately determine the actual time of the material event.

  • VAR: In the event of a decision being reversed due to VAR technology, all bets will be cancelled between the time of the market reopening following the awarding of a goal, penalty, red card (material events), and the subsequent reversal. If a goal, penalty, or red card is awarded following the referee signalling for VAR, all bets placed between the time of the referee calling for VAR and the awarding of the material event will be voided and stakes returned.
  • VAR review to be used in 90 minutes: You are betting on A VAR review to be used in 90 minutes. A review involves the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) reviewing the play in question. This can be triggered by a request from the referee or the VAR conducting a ‘check’ to see if a review needs to take place. If the VAR rules that a clear and obvious error has been made, a ‘review’ will take place. The referee can either change their decision on the advice of the VAR or conduct an on-field review by going to a designated screen on the sideline. A VAR ‘check’ will not count as a winning outcome. VAR reviews used during extra time will not be counted for settlement purposes. The referee must indicate that a 'review' will take place by clearly showing the 'TV signal' (gesturing an outline of a TV screen) in accordance with official FIFA rules. If a match is abandoned, any bets where the outcome has already been decided will stand. All other bets will be made void

  • Handicap with tie - For example, if Team A +2 is selected, 2 goals will, for settlement purposes, be added to the score of Team A.
if Team B -2 is selected , 2 goals will be deducted from the score of Team B
Where the draw is selected in a handicap market, the relevant bet will be determined by adjusting the home team's
score by the applicable handicap (for example, Team A -2, finishes 2-0 to Team A, then the draw option is the winner)
  • The Golden Boot Award goes to the top goalscorer in the UEFA European Football Championship 2024. If there is more than one player with the same goals, the tie breaker goes to the player who has contributed the most assists. If there is still more than one player, the award goes to the player who has played the least amount of time.
  • Top Goal Scorer Market - Only goals scored in the stated division/league/cup tournament will count towards a player’s total goals. All bets stand irrespective of whether or not a player takes part in the division/league/cup. Own goals, or disallowed goals, will not count. Dead Heat rules apply in the event of a tie.
  • An assist is defined by the final touch (pass, pass-come-shot or any other touch) leading to the recipient of the ball scoring a goal.
  • If the final touch (as defined above) is deflected by an opposition player, the initiator is only given an assist if the receiving player was the likely intended destination of the touch before the deflection.
  • A foul is defined as any infringement that is penalised as foul play by the referee.
  • For a foul to be awarded, play must be stopped and a free kick must be given. If the referee plays advantage and later shows a yellow card once the ball goes out of play, this will not count as a foul, as a free kick was never awarded.
  • Offsides and other actions resulting in indirect free kicks do not count as fouls.
  • Cards - Yellow cards count as one, red cards count as two. Two yellow cards leading to an automatic red will count as one yellow and one red card(3 cards). Cards will only count if shown to players after they take to the pitch for the first time and before they leave the pitch for the final time. All bets apply to Full Time according to the match officials, plus any stoppage time. Extra-time/penalty shoot-outs are not included. Any card shown after the full-time whistle has been blown will be disregarded.
  • Tackles - a tackle is defined as when a player connects with the ball in a ground challenge and successfully takes the ball away from the player in possession.

  • If a player or pairing retires during a match, the player or pairing progressing to the next round (or winning the tournament in the case of a final) is deemed the winner UNLESS the match has gone less than one full set, in which case all bets will be void.
  • If a player or pairing fails to start a tournament or match, all bets on that player or pairing will be void.
  • All bets relating to the number of occurrences of certain events within a tournament will be void if the tournament is reduced in length, cancelled or postponed, except for those on markets which have been unconditionally determined.
  • All matches have action regardless of delays or postponements, including changes to either the venue or the type of surface
  • Where markets are offered on individual games or sets within a match, a retirement or disqualification during a game or set will render bets on that game or set market and all individual game or set markets void except for those on markets which have been unconditionally determined.
  • Unless otherwise specified, all handicaps and totals refer to Games.

If the scheduled duration of a match is reduced or increased in the number of games/sets required to win, then all bets will be void except for those on markets which have been unconditionally determined. Please note that this does not apply to ‘Match Odds’ or ‘Set Winner’ markets on Davis Cup matches or ‘dead rubber’ matches that have been shortened from five sets to three sets after the market has been loaded, provided that the match has been shortened in accordance with the competition’s rules
